Frequently Asked Questions about Daoyin Tao

To help you decide whether this course is right for you, here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:

How is Daoyin Tao different from other similar therapies?

As Daoyin Tao is based on techniques and time-honoured philosophies used in China which have been adapted to meet the needs of the Western market.

Daoyin Tao is a unique and harmonious, synergistic blend of ancient Chinese and modern Western massage techniques, which enhances many facets of the therapist's ability. Daoyin Tao is an adaptation of Chinese massage techniques and therefore not simply a facial massage, however the effects are wide-ranging and can be highly therapeutic on many levels.

A Daoyin Tao treatment can be offered as a stand-alone session or may be successfully combined with other therapies and skills thus making it a truly holistic approach for improved health and well-being. Equally the skills you gain are universally applicable in whatever treatment setting whether salon, spa, clinic or home practice.

What equipment do I need to practice Daoyin Tao?

Daoyin Tao is performed on a massage table preferably with a slightly inclined backrest. The client is covered with towels and only needs to reveal their shoulders. A simple massage oil facilitates the treatment, beyond that it is the skill of the Practitioners hands which makes the treatment so special.
