Course :
Anatomy, physiology and pathology
Date : Wednesday, 19th October 2011
Tutor : Ann Whiteford BSc(Hons), FCR, TDCR, Dip RBSA Aromatherapy, CthA
Description
ITEC level 3, units 346 and 347. Content: Terminology, histology, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, digestive, nervous, endocrine, urinary and reproductive systems; pathology of disease and basic clinical assessment skills. Externally assessed one-hour 50 question mulitiple choice test. Internall assessed assignment identifying the signs and symptoms of pathologies within the bodies magor systems. The course is taught one evening per week over 17 weeks commencing October 2011. The course can be paid in installments. Please note a 3% charge is addedd for credit card payments.

Description
A fun, predominately practical based course for post graduates who have A&P and a body therapy. (This does not have to be massage, reflexology will suffice.) Ideal for those who want to learn more, and advance their techniques, without the stress of exams and a lot of home learning, as well as adding a therapy to your business. There is a gap of 4 weeks before returning for day 3, this is to give you time to learn the acupoints and techniques covered in days 1 & 2, as well as completing 4 X 4 case histories. The venue is; The Seven Wellbeing Centre, Butterwick Hospice Care, Middlefield Road, Stockton on Tees TS19 8XN. Any profits from their courses go in to help fund the Hospice, which provdes care for both adults and children. Their website is on other useful links if you wish to find out more. Course money can be paid directly to the venue, addressed to the Director; Mrs Gwyn Featonby and cheques made payable to Seven Wellbeing Centre LTD. You can pay through our paypall account but a 3% surcharge will be added for any payments made by credit card.

Description
For Daoyin Tao Practitioners who wish to brush up on their techniques, and would like to learn some new points and moves to enhance their treatments. A fun day, no exams or stress. A chance to meet old friends and make some new ones. Recieve a treatment or two, and improve your knowledge and techniques, gaining confidence as well as CPD points. The venue is The Seven Wellbeing Centre, Butterwick Hospice Care, Middlefield Road, Stockton on Tees, TS19 8XN. Any profits made from their courses, go towards the funding of this charity, which provides care for adults as well as children. Cheques can be paid directly to the venue, made payable to The Seven Wellbeing Centre LTD and sent for the attention of its Director; Gwyn Featonby. You can pay by credit card through paypall but all credit card transactions will incure a 3% surcharge.

A useful insight into some of the theory behind Chinese Medicine. Helpful to practitioners of any discipline, (though also open to anyone interested in this area.) It will help you to practise and live with a more person centered approach to your clients, family and friends. Working on the principle that good health is not just about taking care of the body, but also the mind and spirit. Covers the theory and much more behind Daoyin Tao, (Much of the theory has now been excluded from the DYT practitioners course,which is now much more practically based.) This course will cover five elements in far greater depth than the original Daoyin Tao course, so is also suitable for DYT practitioners. The venue is The Seven Wellbeing Centre, Butterwick Hospice, Middlefield Road, Stockton on Tees, TS19 8XN. Any profits from their courses, go towards funding this charity, which oprovides care for both adults and children. Fees can be sent directly to the centre,cheques should be made payable to The Seven Wellbeing Centre and sent to its Director; Mrs Gwyn Featonby. Course dates have not been finalised, but may not be happening untill the end of 2011/ first quarter of 2012. ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology

New courses to start in October 2011. ITEC approved reflexology, units 342 7 343. The price below, excludes anatomy, physiology 7 pathology. Assessment takes the form of a practical assessment of a reflexology treatment, carried out by an ITEC examiner, and evidence of 100 treatments including 40 case studies. Prequisities; ITEC Level 3 Diploma in anatomy, physiology & pathology (units 346 & 347) plus units 348-350. These units can be studied concurrently with the diploma in reflexology. There are 7 full days in class, over a 12 month period and students will need to demonstrate approximately 200 hours of practice.
